A vintage yellow teapot in the form of mary and her little lamb

Isn't Mary magnificent in her crinoline dress of daffodil yellow? Mary is clutching her beloved little lamb and wears a straw hat that frames her pretty face. Hand painted gold flourishes elevate this teapot to a thing of beauty, lots of fabulous details in the romantic bustled dress and I love the naive Staffordshire pottery style. In excellent condition, some fine crazing near the hem of Mary's dress, but nothing distracting. Some wear on the gold spot and to Mary's pretty nose. Made by Lingard Potteries of England, This sunny yellow teapot is part of A Nursery Rhyme series, there is also a Humpy and a Mother Hubbard teapot out there somewhere. Measuring 23cm tall this beautiful vintage teapot would be an asset on any dresser.
